Wild About STEAM @ Wild Child: Monster Lab 👾

Little makers, BIG imaginations!

Join STEAM Sprouts for a playful, hands-on Halloween STEAM experience where little makers get to create, build, move, and experiment! Kids will design and build their own one-of-a-kind monster mask using different shapes, colors, textures, and monster parts.

More details

We'll also mix in fun Halloween-themed STEAM activities and games that encourage creativity, problem-solving, movement, and learning through play. Expect lots of silly monsters, hands-on fun, prizes, and a little extra creative activity to take home.

Take-Home KitRecommended ages: Ages 2–6

Jet Pack STEAM Kit

Kids build a wearable jet pack from cardboard tubes and foil, paint fabric flames, tie on their own shoulder straps, and decorate it — then blast off into imaginative play. Child-led: we guide, they create.

What's included

  • Jet pack base: cardboard tubes attached to a cardboard back
  • 2 large elastic shoulder bands
  • White fabric strips for the flames
  • Glue, pipe cleaner, tinfoil, and stickers
  • Watercolor paint with a paintbrush
  • Step-by-step illustrated guide
  • Story-time page for grown-ups to read aloud
